Traditional Media v. Soical Media

Traditional Media are things like the newspaper, or actually watching the news. Social Media is what the new generation has taken on. Like more usage of the internet, and cell phone, with new features. Now don’t get me wrong people used the internet, but it was for doing things like homework, or a research project important reason. Social Media has changed that, so instead of typing because, people put b/c, or b/w for between, or ppl for people. By doing this you have make a sentence short, it can fit in the box that only allows you to have only 160 characters. Also this way a person won’t get bored reading long sentences. Now because, companies know that they are losing there shows to social media, they're taking it into their own hands, making websites for the shows, for example CNN, has an account named CNN.com, and newspapers like the Washington post are making website as well, so people don’t miss out on the news. These things are influencing people to use more of new media, instead of traditional media.

Now-a-days people txt or go one the computer, to chat it up with friends. Looking at websites like facebook, twitter, hi, imeem, and myspace. This is something people like to call NEW MEDIA. New media is a web-based technology, used to transofrm andbroadcast media into social media dialogues. This has taken an effect on many people. Instead of picking up an new paper to read long columns, individuals run to their iphones to see who has commented on their status. What ASHAME right. NOT REALLY. it is faster and helps when certian people cannot read a newspaper at the time, and when people miss the 9 o'clock news.
